Frequently Asked Questions

Can working together really help me?

Therapy can provide a space to reflect on your experiences and have space to feel empowered to make the choices that move you in the direction you want to go. Therapy can feel challenging, stir up difficult emotions, and highlight patterns that may be hard to confront. Together we will work to support you toward your goals and living a life that feels more fulfilling.

Do you accept insurance?
  • I do not accept insurance. However, if you have out of network benefits, I am happy to provide super bills so that you can submit for reimbursement. This can significantly offset the cost of therapy. Each insurance plan is different, but I have seen a range of reimbursement from 125-200 a session.
  • There are several student health insurance plans I have experience working directly with. In some cases I will provide courtesy billing which means you only pay the coinsurance and I’ll bill your insurance plan for you. This is similar to the experience of working with an in network provider where you only pay the copay up front. If you are in need of additional support around billing or are a local student, please reach out so we can discuss your specific situation further. I know how challenging navigating insurance can be and I want to help make therapy accessible.
  • If you are unsure about your benefits, I would encourage you to call your insurance and ask the following questions:
    • Does my plan include out of network behavioral health benefits?
    • Is there a deductible? If so, what is it?
    • What is the allowable rate for psychotherapy?
    • What percentage of the allowable rate will be reimbursed?
    • Is there a limit on the number of sessions that I can attend?
    • What is the process of submitting out of network superbills?
How much does therapy cost?

My fee is $230 per session, and I offer sliding scale options as well. If you are interested in therapy and would like to work with me, please reach out and we can talk more about options and payment.

What can I expect from therapy?
  • In the initial consultation, we will talk briefly about what you are looking for when it comes to therapy. We may talk about past experiences in therapy and what is currently bringing you to seek therapy. We will go over administrative and logistical details pertaining to the first session.
  • During the first few sessions, as we are getting to know each other, we will both be assessing if it feels like a good fit. I will invite you to talk more about your history and the history of the challenges you are currently facing.

Do you have a cancelation policy?

Yes. If you are unable to attend a session, I ask for 48 hours notice. Otherwise you will be charged the full rate of the session.

How much does consultation and supervision cost?

My consultation and supervision fee is 200 per hour. I do offer some sliding scale. Please inquire if you have any questions
